Directions by Car

From Southbound 101 (San José/Gilroy)

1. Follow Highway 101 south toward Salinas.
2. Merge onto Highway 156 west toward the Monterey Peninsula.
3. Highway 156 becomes Highway 1 south.
4. Take Exit 406 (CSU Monterey Bay/Fort Ord Main Entrance). You will circle back over the highway onto Light Fighter Drive.
5. At the third traffic signal, turn left onto Gen Jim Moore Blvd.
6. Follow the signs to your desired campus location.

From Northbound 101 (San Luis Obispo/King City)

1. Follow Highway 101 north to Salinas.
2. Take the Monterey Peninsula exit (Sanborn Road). At the stop sign, turn right to go back under the highway.
3. Sanborn Road will bend to the right and become Blanco Road.
4. Remain on Blanco Road until it bends to the left and ends at a traffic light.
5. At the light, turn right to merge onto Reservation Road.
6. Turn left at the second traffic signal onto Imjin Road.
7. Turn left again at the second traffic signal onto Abrams Drive.
8. Wind through the CSUMB Housing area, then, when the road ends, turn right onto Inter-Garrison Road.
9. Follow the signs to your desired campus location.

From Northbound Highway 1 (Monterey Peninsula/Seaside)

1. Follow Highway 1 north.
2. Take Exit 406 (CSU Monterey Bay/Fort Ord Main Entrance).
3. At the third traffic signal, turn left onto Gen Jim Moore Blvd.
4. Follow the signs to your desired campus location.

From Southbound Highway 1 (Santa Cruz/Moss Landing)

1. Follow Highway 1 south.
2. Take Exit 406 (CSU Monterey Bay/Fort Ord Main Entrance). You will circle back over the highway onto Light Fighter Drive.
3. At the third traffic signal, turn left onto Gen Jim Moore Blvd.
4. Follow the signs to your desired campus location.

Directions by Bus or Train

From Downtown Monterey

Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST) offers direct service between downtown Monterey and the CSUMB campus.

1. Take MST Line 16 to CSUMB's central campus (timepoint C).

From Salinas (for Amtrak and Greyhound connections)

1. Take MST Line 25 (the Otter Trolley) to CSUMB's central campus.
2. Take MST Line 20 to the Marina Transit Exchange (Timepoint C).
3. Take MST Line 16 to CSUMB's central campus (Timepoint C).

From Watsonville

1. Take MST Line 27 to the Marina Transit Exchange (Timepoint E).
2. Take MST Line 16 to CSUMB's central campus (Timepoint C).

From San Jose, Morgan Hill, or Gilroy (for Amtrak connections)

1. Take MST Line 55 to the Edgewater Transfer Exchange (Timepoint C).
2. Take MST Line 16 to CSUMB's central campus (Timepoint C).

Directions by Air

From Monterey Peninsula Airport

1. When you exit the airport's main entrance, turn right onto Highway 68 west.
2. Follow 68 to Highway 1.
3. Take Highway 1 north.
4. Take the exit marked CSU Monterey Bay Main Entrance.
