Steve Reed Receives Award
The Honorable Fred Keeley, former speaker pro tem of the California Assembly, names Steve Reed the 2002 Higher Education Advocate of the Year. Reed is CSUMB's associate vice president for external relations, and one of the university's original employees. Keeley notes that Reed consistently builds community and legislative support for all Central Coast postsecondary institutions, especially CSUMB.
"Higher education truly changes lives," says Reed. "It improves lives in a way that little else can."
