Rina Benmayor Wins Book Award
HCOM faculty member Dr. Rina Benmayor (along with a collective of more than a dozen writers) receives the Gustavus Myers Award. The book, Telling to Live: Latina Feminist Testimonios, published by Duke University Press, is authored by the Latina Feminist Group.
It describes how Latina feminists find common ground in our society. The Gustavus Myers Center serves to study bigotry and human rights.
