Officer of the Year
Paul Tomasi of CSUMB's Police Department is selected by his peers as Officer of the Year for 2002. At the annual Monterey County Peace Officer's Association banquet, nominees from 18 agencies, including Tomasi, are honored. From these nominees, the Peace Officer's Association selects one officer each year for countywide recognition.
"For the year 2002, Paul was the top producer [at CSUMB] in pro-active enforcement efforts," said CSUMB Police Chief Fred Hardee.
