MEChA is recognized as 2002-2003's Best Community Service & Student Organization of the Year. Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán is a political, educational, cultural, and social organization that advocates educational equality, social justice, and cultural integrity. MEChA is part of a national network of student organizations in colleges, universities, and high schools.
