Through a Ford Motor Company donation, CSUMB now has a fleet of new battery-powered utility vehicles. The nine new TH!NK cars provide a cleaner, quieter alternative to counterparts powered by internal combustion engines. These pollution-free, battery powered cars can also be easily recharged, and are more maneuverable and easier to drive than the vehicles previously in use.

The University Police Department uses two of the four-passenger vehicles to augment the NightWalk service and to increase the evening Community Service Officer (CSO) patrols of the main campus. University Advancement already uses a TH!NK car to conduct campus tours for donors and government officials. The mailroom has two cars and is adapting them for all-weather deliveries. In addition, Information Technology, Facilities, and the Library each have one of the vehicles. Employing the TH!NK cars highlights CSUMB's commitment to fuel efficiency and environmental stewardship.
