CSUMB fares well at the CSU-sponsored 2003 Student Reseach Competition-a student academic conference featuring oral presentations given to an audience of fellow students and a jury of distinguished faculty and community members.

This year's statewide competition, held in early May at CSU Stanislaus, features Otters winning three of the awards:

  • D. Anaya from TAT wins in the creative arts and design category for his documentary, Los Californios in Monterey: A Forgotten History
  • Leanne Complin of ICST wins for her study, "Factors Relating to Response Rates of an Online Evaluation System"
  • The School of Business' Kyle Pastor wins for his study on JetBlue Airways.
